We are working with Actemium, the industry brand of VINCI Energies, for the industrial automation behind our farms. They deliver electrical design and process automation that help make our patented cultivation technology run automatically, at scale, and with a low environmental footprint.

We are also working with ABB to use their  PLC technology and robotic solutions for industrial automation.

In addition we are working with Odlar Laget , iplast, SLU, and Process IT to for distribution, marketing, technology, and research.

Edible mushrooms provide both food and fuel

Mushrooms such as oyster, shiitake, and king oyster are currently growing in a mushroom robot lab at SLU in Umeå. The beauty of this cultivation method is that it yields both food and biofuel. Thanks to funding from EIP-Agri, researchers—in collaboration with the company Biosteam—are able to demonstrate that mushroom cultivation can be further streamlined, making the process both cheaper and faster.

CoMush: Forest residues for the combined production of edible mushrooms and biofuel (BioEk 2.0)

The project was part of the innovation project BioEconomy 2.0. The overall goal of the sub-project was to develop an integrated industrial chain in which forest residues serve as a substrate for mushroom cultivation, and spent mushroom substrate (SMS) is recovered as a raw material for biofuel production via the sugar platform. This sub-project was expected to pave the way for establishing a new, economically competitive industrial value chain for both national and international markets.
